Dreamer, Go-getter, ‘Anything is Possible’ Mind Set

It’s all about the experience for me, and knowing that you can control and manipulate your surroundings to create joyful feelings.

The events we get to be apart of are a celebration of a promise between two people. It is absolutely magical. There is so much pressure to please our clients and get it exactly how they have envisioned it, and I live for this challenge. This is so fulfilling to my soul and heart, and why I choose to show up as the best version of myself everyday - for my clients and their love story. I started this company 10 years ago to push the boundaries of what a wedding experience can be, and build up a community of vendors that support and help each other out. This company has given me so many opportunities to meet some amazing humans, and one of the most rewarding, is inspiring and leading my amazing team. These women are truly remarkable and we would not be where we are today with out their skills, patience, and incredibly creative minds.

On a more personal note, I am terrible at responding to texts, but I leave my email inbox on zero. I married my highschool heart (the cute boy who sat behind me in 10th grade), and we have two wonderful girls, who look nothing like dad, but are the spitting image of me. My passion is traveling and seeing all of the places of the world.I also always have to have a trip planned for the future, or I start to feel depressed. So far my favorite locations have been South Africa and Greece. I have come to realize I have a true fear of heights, and get motion sickness easily. I love giving back and supporting our local community, and have done this by being a foster mom, being a big sister with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and supporting local foundations such as Rally, and The Children Home Society and local art centers.

Two Truths, One Lie

In my previous employment I was a Financial Advisor.

I delivered my second born daughter at my home, all on my own.

I can’t stand the taste of champagne.

A woman smiling, sitting on the hood of a green off-road vehicle in a safari setting with trees and grass in the background.
A bride and groom holding hands and walking outdoors with traditional windmills in the background. The bride is wearing a strapless wedding gown, and the groom is in a dark suit with a white shirt. The scene is bright with clear skies.
A smiling couple standing in front of a building with a garden filled with pink and white flowers. The woman is wearing a hat, striped top, and light blue pants, holding a basket and a glass of wine. The man is wearing a navy shirt, light shorts, and flip-flops, also holding a glass of wine.
A family of four posing together, with the two young girls wearing light blue dresses and the parents dressed in formal attire, all smiling.
A woman with sunglasses, white jacket, pink skirt, and sneakers standing on a trail in front of snow-capped mountains and green valley, smiling and waving.

My journey in wedding planning began with a love for creativity, organization, and, most importantly, bringing joy to other people. I began by helping friends with parties, showers, and even their own weddings as a bridesmaid when someone suggested I should turn this passion into a profession. I found SouthernFrills through a google search, they happened to be looking to add to their team, and the rest is history!

I've had the pleasure of assisting and coordinating countless weddings, each as unique as the couples themselves with this team. Each event we create is a beautiful testament to the love and commitment between two people. I love getting to know each couple’s individual style and personality to make sure they feel supported and excited throughout the entire planning process.

I’m incredibly grateful to be part of such a talented team that continually inspires and motivates me to reach new heights. Their dedication and creativity are truly a source of inspiration.

I was born and raised just North of Atlanta. After high school, I decided to trade the hustle and bustle of city life for the laid-back, coastal charm of Pensacola. Now, I spend my days soaking in the beauty of the Gulf Coast, exploring its hidden gems, and enjoying the slower pace of life. I always have a vacation planned and never turn down an invite for a trip. You’ll very rarely find me sitting at home. I absolutely hate the cold though, so I spend the very few winter months Florida brings catching up on my guilty pleasure: reality tv.

After moving from North Dakota to Pensacola, I found myself searching for a new opportunity where I could build on my previous experience in venue coordination and my love of event planning. That search led me to Southern Frills, where I found the perfect opportunity to continue working in the wedding industry while delving further into the world of event planning.

What began as a new chapter in a new city has grown into something I truly love. Throughout my time in the wedding industry, I’ve had the opportunity to be part of so many unique celebrations, and the emotions of the day never get old. From the excitement and happy tears to the reactions of friends and family, I feel incredibly lucky to have a front-row seat to such meaningful moments. My goal as a coordinator is to take care of the details behind the scenes so my couples can be fully present, soak it all in, and enjoy celebrating with the people they love most.

When I’m not helping couples enjoy their big day, I’m usually out exploring everything my new home has to offer! As a relatively recent North Florida transplant, I’m still discovering the area, but anything involving the water is an easy yes for me. My puppies and I have become regulars at the local dog beaches, soaking up the Florida sunshine and enjoying the fact that winters here look a whole lot different than they do up north.

My husband and I have what could probably qualify as a small zoo at home: a Dalmatian, an older black Lab, a horse, and an extra-spicy tuxedo cat. Needless to say, there’s never a shortage of personality in our house! When I do find some downtime, I happily embrace my old-lady hobbies—you’ll usually find me crocheting something new or tending to my ever-growing collection of houseplants.
